Orlando Salido retains his WBC featherweight title against Juan Manuel Lopez


Orlando Salido (38-11-2, 25 knockouts) work his way with some jabs in early rounds before being dropped by Juan Ma in the 5th round. After a Knock down in 5th round, the champ regained his composure and his stregnth as he fought toe to toe with the hard hitting puerto rican . 


The 10th round proved to be the decisive one as the two men throws a lot of punches even though their respective staminas had started to caught them . Juan Ma started a baraged of hard hitting power shots while Solido replied with some precise shots to the head which eventually caught Juan Ma on the dying seconds(30 seconds)  of the bout. 


Juan Manuel Lopez suffered his second defeat in his entire career as he slides down to (31-2, 28 KOs)  win loss card who actually lead the scorecards from the two official judges (86-84) after nine rounds, while the third had the bout even (85-85). 


Prior to the bout, Lopez, who protested when Ramirez's son, Robert Jr., stopped his first bout with Salido in the eighth round last year, was again upset at the referee's ruling. He accused the father and son referee team of having a "gambling problem" and questioned the legitimacy of Ramirez Sr.'s stoppage.
"I told the (Puerto Rican boxing) commission that they (Ramirez Sr. and Jr.) have gambling problems," Lopez told Jim Gray of Showtime, which aired the fight live in the U.S. "I was winning the fight."
