Gamboa Out! Gesta In for Rios


The undefeated Filipino professional boxer now based in the US is currently the WBO NABO Youth lightweight champion. He won the title by defeating Mexican boxer Oscar Meza on June 4, 2010.Gesta began his professional career on October 19, 2003, with a unanimous decision win over Edwin Picardal.

The Unheralded Filipino Boxer Mercito Gesta is willing to replace Yurokris Gamboa for his supposed to be match-up against Brando Rios for the vacant WBA Lightweight crown on April 14. 

"No Mercy" Gesta has a card of 24 wins , 12 kO and 1 draw will most likely to replace Gamboa after the Puerto Rican boxer snubbed the scheduled kickoff Press conference for the bout. 

Gamboa who is under contract with Bob Arum's top rank Inc., was reportedly spotted training in Floyd Mayweather Jr.'s gym in Las Vegas. 

Speculations surfaced that Gamboa will be signing with the Mayweather's promotion .
