Lamar Odom to NBA Development League

The Dallas Mavericks Management had officially assigned Lamar Odom to the Texas Legends in the NBA Development League.

Odom was traded to the Dallas Mavericks for a first-round draft pick and an $8.9 million trade exception after David Stern vetoed a proposed three-team trade with the New Orleans Hornets involving Odom that would have sent him to the Hornets, Chris Paul to the Lakers, and Pau Gasol to the Houston Rockets

Odom last played for the Mavericks last February 20 and missed all of the Maverick's game since the start of All-Star Break.

According to inside source, Odom was out due to family matter.

Coach Rick Carlisle said Odom will return Sunday.

“He has to come back and play his (butt) off,” Carlisle said. “He’s got to play hard, got to be into it and that’s it.”

Lamar Odom was adjudged as the  NBA Sixth Man of the Year Award last season after posting an averaged 13.5 points, 7.5 rebounds in 28.4 minutes of the bench.
