ABL: Beermen outclassed the League leader Patriots after the brawl




The game between the League Leader Air Asia Philippine Patriots against the San Miguel Beermen  ended in a controversy after an almost all bench brawl did happened on the second half which resulted on the ejection of the Patriots' main gunner Anthony Johnson and SMB Guard Aries Dimaunahan.

The Brawl started when the driving Johnson was fouled hard by Dimaunahan which the import didn't like. Johnson head-locked the guard after the play which prompts the team mate of Dimaunahan to an all bench brawl.

Both players were ejected from the match after referees conferred and the Beermen and the Patriots were called for technical fouls due to players rushing the court.

 Nakiea Miller had 16 points, nine rebounds and five blocks while Johnson had 14 markers before he was thrown out. Eddie Laure had 12 points and Al Vergara had nine as they tried to pick up the offense for the Patriots with Johnson ejected.

The Beermen took their seventh win in ten outings to close in on the top teams, the Philippine Patriots and the Westport Malaysia Dragons, as both clubs currently tout a 7-2 record.
