PBA: With Jackson Vroman at the helm, Ginebra goes Vroom Vroom

Jackson Vroman, the NBA Veteran with a fresh stint from the Chinese Basketball Association just proved to every body that he deserves the spot of their former Best Import Awardee Chris Alexander. 

Vroman finished with 19 points, 12 rebounds, five blocks, four assists and three steals in his debut for the Kings, who actually scored most of his points from the first half of the game before Mark Caguiao eventually take over the scoring chores for the Gin Kings.

Vroman displayed an all-around game as he outran the Powerade's import Dwayne Jones and Contain their prolific import to just 13 points. This was highlighted with a staggering block as Dwayne Jones attempted a tomahawk two handed slam in the second quarter. 

The former Lebanese Naturalized player also showed his intelligence as he was able to attract the defense most of the time and let Caguiao do the scoring rampage through his dishes.

Caguiao finishes the game with his season high 31 points, while Cortes and Ababou scored in double figures. Gary David, the last season best scorer was held to 0 points during their third quarter surged as he was covered by the former Gilas maintasy Dylan Ababou most of the time .

Gary David set to join Smart Gilas 2.0

The Player with the Hottest hand in the PBA is a Smart Gilas 2 Bound

    Gary David, last conference MVP and PBA's hottest commodity today is ready to play for Smart Gilas 2.0  in any given day. This was revealed by Gary "El Granada" David to the Philippine Daily Inquirer , tuesday. According to Gary David, he was given a hint by the Smart Gilas 2.0 Coach Chot Reyes after they met in  a meeting at a recent Coca-Cola Function and was told to be physically ready to be all out with the national team .

   The 6 ft 1'' and  33 year-old superstar was drafted 10th overall by the Coca Cola Tigers last 2004 after a stellar career in  NCRAA and by winning the PBL MVP award in 2003. He lead his team to a surprised play-off win over the top play off seed B-Meg and the Semi Finals favorite Rain or Shine were  Gary David  scored 30+ points for 6 consecutive games and also was the first local to do such feat since 1991. 

   As of this season, El Granada is producing an import like numbers as he managed to contribute 32 point on a win against the Rain or Shine and 29 points in the expensed of Meralco.

Lassiter to SMC trade: Revise the trade

  

  PBA commmissioner Chito Salud forbid the trade of POWERADE's Marcio Lassiter to SMC's Petron which was reasoned out by the Commissioner that it will just destroy the equilibrium of the League.  The current proposal includes Noynoy Baclao, the First Overall pick last 2010 Draft together with Rey Guevarra. 

     According to some reports, the proposal was modify which now includes Rabeh Al-Hussaini and Reyn Guevarra plus the 2012 first round draft pick for Marcio Lassiter, yet another possible bait might be Joseph Yeo and Rey Guevarra plus 2012 first round draft pick. 

   Lassiter, one of the vital clogged last Fiba ASIA for Smart Gilas Pilipinas was drafted 3rd Overall of the recent draft along with the consensus No. 1 Pick JV Casio.  Lassiter was also part of the Powerade which rode a cinderalla finish last All Filipino Conference and averages 16.9 points , 6 rebounds, 3 assist, 1.4 steals and .4 blocks per ball game. 

  There were also some issue circulating  in the PBA that once the trade is executed, POWERADE will be next to be handed to SMC as their new team in the PBA. The logic behind this trade was to execute the trade  before the sell, which came from the rulling of "sister team cant directly trade its player unless with a neutral team to be with".

Powerade shutdown Rain or Shine with a come from behind Victory

      The Cinderella Team last conference and the Poor Man's version of Barangay Ginebra Kings did it again as they defeated Rain or Shine Elasto Painters with  122-120 come from behind victory lead by the hot hands and Ace Gunner Gary David (see from the pics below) with 32 points on 7/12 in the 3 point region and 4/4 on the final canto of the game . 

     Dwayne Jones proved to be a legit NBA Veteran as he lead the team in scoring and rebounding with 34 points and 21 rebounds which also set the tone on the defensive side for the tigers. 

     JV Casio, the reigning 1st Overall Pick from the recent Draft lead the final charge with a game tying 3-pointer to 117 and hit a clutched layup for the tigers who had lead for the first time since the last 3 quarters. He was voted as the Player of the game after scoring all of his 14 points in the second half and dishing out 13 assist. 

    Marcio Lassiter, the 3rd overall pick from the recent draft and currently on the trading block  also helped the team with his defense as he tapped the ball out of paul lee which eventually bounced on the latter's shirt that might had caused the game for the Rain or Shine. 

  Prior to the start of the game, JB Baylon had resigned already to hist post at Coca-Cola as Powerade's Representative to the PBA board of Governors as Vice Chairman. 

   Duke Crews the import of ROS produced 23 points and 12 rebounds with an ample supports from Gabe Norwood,Jefferey Chan and Ryan Arana with  16,13 and 13 respectively.
