Earl Barron lead Meralco Volts over Ginebra


Earl Barron finally produced a win for the Meralco Volts in the expense of Barangay Ginebra Gin Kings after he produced a 27 points and 10 rebounds and to finally snapped a 4 game losing streak.


The Makmak Cardona and Sol Mercado tandem contributed with 25 and 17 respectively. 


The Gin kings lead the game on the first quarter with a 22-16 but was outran by the Meralco at the half time with a 41-35 score. 


Jackson Vroman was just held to 19 points  after he sat down most of the time due to his foul trouble.  Caguiao just scored 19 points after scoring his conference high of 31 points in a win over Powerade.

PBA: Arwin Santos shatters his career high, Petron dumps Rain or Shine




When things goes wrong for Nick Fazekas, the spiderman Arwind Santos says no problemo,the former FEU Stalwart shattered his career high in points with an astonishing 34 points most are in front of Rain or Shine's import Duke Crews. 


Santos' 34 points was the highest this conference besting the Career high set by Gary David and Mark Caguiao who actually scored 31 points in the first game. Santos scored 21 of his 34 in the second half as the Boosters overcome a late surge from the Duke Crews' Lead Elasto Painters. 


Arwind Santos teamed up with Alex Cabagnot as they outscored their opponent in the first half while Nick Fazekas was in foul trouble early in the game. Duke Crews finished with a career high 41 points and grabbed 18 rebounds which is most likely to be replace already after the Rain or Shine dropped to 1-4 win loss record.

PBA: With Jackson Vroman at the helm, Ginebra goes Vroom Vroom



Jackson Vroman, the NBA Veteran with a fresh stint from the Chinese Basketball Association just proved to every body that he deserves the spot of their former Best Import Awardee Chris Alexander. 

Vroman finished with 19 points, 12 rebounds, five blocks, four assists and three steals in his debut for the Kings, who actually scored most of his points from the first half of the game before Mark Caguiao eventually take over the scoring chores for the Gin Kings.

Vroman displayed an all-around game as he outran the Powerade's import Dwayne Jones and Contain their prolific import to just 13 points. This was highlighted with a staggering block as Dwayne Jones attempted a tomahawk two handed slam in the second quarter. 

The former Lebanese Naturalized player also showed his intelligence as he was able to attract the defense most of the time and let Caguiao do the scoring rampage through his dishes.

Caguiao finishes the game with his season high 31 points, while Cortes and Ababou scored in double figures. Gary David, the last season best scorer was held to 0 points during their third quarter surged as he was covered by the former Gilas maintasy Dylan Ababou most of the time .

Jayjay Helterbrand Lifts Ginebra over Petron on PBA







Jayjay Helterbrand hit a clutch leaning jumper in from of Nick Fazekas with 3 seconds left in the final quarter. Before this game winner was shot , Nick Fazekas hits a three pointer to tie the ball game at 82- all. with the game on the line , mark caguiao inbound the ball and passed it to JJ which eventually hit the game winner .

Import's Head to Head Battle 
Alexander produced 21 points and 24 rebounds as against Fazekas’ 37 markers and 18 boards in their classic showdown.

A legitimate former NBA player with stints with the Dallas Mavericks and the LA Clippers, Fazekas showed great touch, going 2-of-2 from the three-point area, 11-of-25 from the two-point zone and 9-of-10 from the stripe.
