PBA: Talk N' Text stunned by AIR21 Express


Nelbert Omolon was magnificent last night as he lead the depleted AIR21 Express to a convincing 89 - 78  win against the defending champion Talk N Text .  Omolon finished the game with a season high 23 points , 14 rebounds and 4 block shots as he set the paced for the express with Marcus Douthit  not feeling well yesterday . Douthit finished the game with only 6 points but grabbed  26 caroms to tie his career-high in the PBA.


Talk N Text paraded Donnel Harvey, a 6-8 swingman with 90 inch wingspan as their replacement to Omar Samhan. Harvey finished the game with 21 points and 28 rebounds but came short to delivery the victory and saw their winning streak snapped to 3.

Donnell Harvey replaces injured Omar Samhan

    


    The 6 foot 8' NBA Veteran Donnell  will finally come to the PBA to replace the injured Omar Samhan, this was confirmed by Snow Badua on his twitter account. Harvey finally signed after a few days of unclear talks between her agent Sheryl Reyes, who represents harvey in the philippines. 

    Donnell Harvey was drafted 22nd overall by the New York Knicks in 2000. The Florida Gators alumnus also played for 5 different teams after his stint with the Knicks, these are the  Dallas Mavericks, New Jersey Nets,Denver Nuggets, Orlando Magic, and Phoenix suns.

   Harvey who last played for Tianjin R. in CBA lead the league with 14.6 rebounds per game and scores 30+ points in some occasions. The Athletic Forward also had some stint in Turkey, Puerto Rico and in Bosnia.

All Filipino Talk n Text routs BMEG even without Import



No Omar Samhan? we just need to shoot the lights out.




This was the statement by Talk n Text tropang Textters  after they made a remarkable 19 - of - 41 three-point shooting to overcome BMEG with a 102- 96 win to remain unbeaten in the PBA Commisioner's Cup. 

Texters who lead the game since the start of the tip-off uses their accurate outside snipping to pummel the Denzel Bowles lead BMEG Lmlamdos whole throughout the game which they started with a remarkable 12 of 22 shooting from beyond the arc at the  first half which they lead by 61-49.

Before the 3rd Quarter start, Coach Chot Reyes was given a Technical foul  during the Half-time break and was thrown out of the game , Assistant Coach Nash Recela called the shots in his aid. 

Jason Castro lead the scoring parade with 22 points after converting six triples while ranidel De ocampo chipped in 19 points with 5 triples.  Kelly Williams, Larry Fonacier, Jared Dillinger, Jimmy Alapag and Riego Gamalinda combined for 8 three-points to lead the supporting cast. 

The Dynamic Duo of James Yap and Simon  manage only to score 8 points combined after a so-so performance. Denzel Bowles lead the scoring for BMEG with a conference high 38 points.

Gary David set to join Smart Gilas 2.0


The Player with the Hottest hand in the PBA is a Smart Gilas 2 Bound

    Gary David, last conference MVP and PBA's hottest commodity today is ready to play for Smart Gilas 2.0  in any given day. This was revealed by Gary "El Granada" David to the Philippine Daily Inquirer , tuesday. According to Gary David, he was given a hint by the Smart Gilas 2.0 Coach Chot Reyes after they met in  a meeting at a recent Coca-Cola Function and was told to be physically ready to be all out with the national team .

   The 6 ft 1'' and  33 year-old superstar was drafted 10th overall by the Coca Cola Tigers last 2004 after a stellar career in  NCRAA and by winning the PBL MVP award in 2003. He lead his team to a surprised play-off win over the top play off seed B-Meg and the Semi Finals favorite Rain or Shine were  Gary David  scored 30+ points for 6 consecutive games and also was the first local to do such feat since 1991. 

   As of this season, El Granada is producing an import like numbers as he managed to contribute 32 point on a win against the Rain or Shine and 29 points in the expensed of Meralco.

PBA: Talk 'N Text won over Alaska; Powerade Tigers trounced Meralco Bolts









      5 locals scored with double figures lead by Jason Castro and Larry Fonacier with 20 points a piece, De Ocampo, Dillinger and Williams also contributed with 19,17, and 13 respectively. Samhan who only manage to score 6 points was hindered by 4 quick fouls and was injured at the second half of the game.

    Garry David exploded  again as he scored 29 points to lead the tigers to their 2nd consecutive win at the start of the season with a 94-82 win over the new look Meralco who replaced Jarrid Famous with Earl Barron. Lassiter and Dwayne Jones provided the spark to escape a late surge by Meralco.
