Earl Barron lead Meralco Volts over Ginebra


Earl Barron finally produced a win for the Meralco Volts in the expense of Barangay Ginebra Gin Kings after he produced a 27 points and 10 rebounds and to finally snapped a 4 game losing streak.


The Makmak Cardona and Sol Mercado tandem contributed with 25 and 17 respectively. 


The Gin kings lead the game on the first quarter with a 22-16 but was outran by the Meralco at the half time with a 41-35 score. 


Jackson Vroman was just held to 19 points  after he sat down most of the time due to his foul trouble.  Caguiao just scored 19 points after scoring his conference high of 31 points in a win over Powerade.

MERALCO 89 – Barron 27, Cardona 25, Mercado 17, Hugnatan 8, Espinas 6, Ross 2, Borboran 2, Taulava 2, Timberlake 0, Macapagal 0.

PBA: With Jackson Vroman at the helm, Ginebra goes Vroom Vroom



Jackson Vroman, the NBA Veteran with a fresh stint from the Chinese Basketball Association just proved to every body that he deserves the spot of their former Best Import Awardee Chris Alexander. 

Vroman finished with 19 points, 12 rebounds, five blocks, four assists and three steals in his debut for the Kings, who actually scored most of his points from the first half of the game before Mark Caguiao eventually take over the scoring chores for the Gin Kings.

Vroman displayed an all-around game as he outran the Powerade's import Dwayne Jones and Contain their prolific import to just 13 points. This was highlighted with a staggering block as Dwayne Jones attempted a tomahawk two handed slam in the second quarter. 

The former Lebanese Naturalized player also showed his intelligence as he was able to attract the defense most of the time and let Caguiao do the scoring rampage through his dishes.

Caguiao finishes the game with his season high 31 points, while Cortes and Ababou scored in double figures. Gary David, the last season best scorer was held to 0 points during their third quarter surged as he was covered by the former Gilas maintasy Dylan Ababou most of the time .

Ginebra's Chris Alexander out! Lebanon's Jackson Vroman In!



   The returning 2008 Best Import Awardee of the  Barangay Ginebra Gin Kings was booted out of the rooster today as he will be replaced by the Naturalized Lebanese Jackson Vroman . The news was confirmed by Noli Eala via twitter this morning , due to the lack of scoring prowess of Alexander that why they were force to replaced him with a 6-10 banger and scorer .Scoring problem within the shaded lane was evidently their weakness during the stint of Chris Alexander and even though he help the Gin Kings achieve a 2-1 win-loss card. 

   Jackson Vroman was a second round draft pick of the Chicago bulls  last 2004. He played for Phoenix Suns and New Orleans, averaging 4.6 points and 3.8 rebounds .

   He was also a FIBA Veteran and became the tormentor of the Philippine Basketball every time the Philippine Team and Lebanese Team play.
