The Golden State Warriors have agreed in principle to trade guard Monta Ellis and two players to the Milwaukee Bucks for center Andrew Bogut and Stephen Jackson, league sources told Yahoo! Sports.
The Warriors will send forward Ekpe Udoh and injured center Kwame Brown to the Bucks as part of a package for Bogut, one of the NBA’s most talented – but also often-injured – centers. The deal will be officially completed later Tuesday night, one executive involved in the trade said. - via NBA
Winners :
Mark Jackson
After failing to get Dwight Howard or DeAndre Jordan to aid their Center Spot, Moving their Main Scorer Montal Ellis and Prospect Ekep Udoh and an injured Kwame Brown for a Legitimate NBA Center and their former player Stephen Jackson is now their best move as they turned Steph Curry as a legit franchise player while Stephen Jackson can be a leader to the young squad. With this acquisition, the defensive liabilities of the team can be fill by Andrew Bogut, but the question here is that, is he healthy enough to bring home the Ws for the Warriors ?
Stephen Curry
With the departure of Monta Ellis, Steph curry will be the new franchise player of the organization. Ellis takes around 15-to-30 shots per ball game which was always a hindrance in Steph Curry's full time development. We he step up?
Klay Thompson
As the shooting guard position now vacated by Ellis, Thompson will be now the focal point of that position. His deadly outside shooting and high percentage jump shot might aid the 20+ points average of ellis but his defense is still a suspect.
David Lee
With the arrival of a legitimate center on their team, Lee may now focus on the offensive side of the ball game and the departure of Ekep Udoh will increase his playing time even more .
Andrew Bogut
As he team-up with Curry, Bogut now can play more of the offensive side with some pick rolls and drop passes from Curry which he did not have from a scoring point guard Brandon Jennings.
Losers:
Ersan Ilyasova
with his career season on the go, the arrival of ekep udoh might lessen his minutes per ball game as they both play the same position.
Brandon Jennings
Monta Ellis and Brandon Jennings cant co-exist after all, both of them are effective only with a ball on their hand and thats period.
