The Pinoy Junior MasterChef Pinoy Edition did end with a thrill after a close fight between Philip Amarillo of Cebu and Kyle Imao of Marikina. Kyle was adjudged as the First ever Pinoy Junior MasterChef as he garnered a total score of 91.8 while philip only has 91.1 , a point 7 difference that sets them apart which was decided by judges Fern Aracama, Rolando Laudico, and JP Anglo; guest judge Glenda Barretto; and 100 other guest-judges.
Kyle cooked oyster ravioli and Asian fusion shrimp and scallops for his final dishes which also gave him a perfect score from the 2 judges on the second round with 10. He received P 1Million and P1.5 million worth of culinary scholarship from Treston International College being the champion while Philip took home P500,000 and P1.5 million worth of culinary scholarship. Myka and Jobin took home 500,000 and 250,000 as the 3rd and 4th place respectively.
Prior to the competition Kyle was the early favorite and was already the bet of Lau Laudico since the audition day.
