Floyd Mayweather vs Miguel Cotto - May 5

No Pacquiao vs Mayweather on May 5, this was revealed upon Mayweather's statement against the Nevada State Athletic Commision and will be at MGM Grand in Las Vegas during a hearing to obtain his license for boxing in the state of nevada. 

Miguel Cotto ( 37-2, 30KOs) the current WBA Junior Middleweight King who defeated Yuri Foreman in june 2010 to grab the championship belt and knock out Antonio Margarito last year will be fighting at the 150-pounds above for the 3rd time since being defeated by Manny Pacquiao at catch weight 145 year 2009. 

Shane Mosley statement about the upcoming bout 

“Cotto is no slouch,” Mosley said in an interview with Boxing Scene. “Cotto can fight as well, and Mayweather better take him very seriously.”

“It’s a great fight. Floyd has the better boxing skills, but Cotto is no slouch. If you take Cotto for granted, then something else can happen and he could be the victor of that fight,” he added.

Cotto is coming off a victory against Antonio Margarito and took the bout against Mayweather instead of accepting a rematch against Filipino boxing icon Manny Pacquiao.

Manny Pacquiao to Retire?

    The WBO Welterweight Champion, 8 division world champion, 6 world titles , and the first man to with with lineal championship in  4 weight class  might have finally felt tired out of boxing.  This was revealed upon his taped Interview in Umagang Kay Ganda after  having recently accepted Catholic Bishop Conference of the Philippines' offer to become their Bible Ambassador.

   According to Pacquiao , his upcoming  bout with undefeated American boxer Timothy Bradley Jr. on June 9 at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas might be his last fight and it might be really his last one if ever that Floyd Mayweather might not agree with the 50-50 purse set by Bob Arum. 

   As a  fan of boxing and Manny Pacquiao, his absence in boxing might totally dim the lime light of the sports. A Floyd Mayweather vs Manny Pacquiao should be done before either of them retire.
